New Wave Gives Back

At New Wave Property Management, we believe being a part of our local community means more than just offering great vacation rentals, it means giving back to the place we call home. From supporting local families to protecting local wildlife to helping four-legged friends find their forever homes – we’re proud to partner with incredible Port St. Joe organizations that make a difference in Gulf County.

Partnering with Methodist Care Closet and Food Pantry

We’re proud supporters of the Methodist Care Closet, a ministry of Port St. Joe United Methodist Church. This community-driven program provides food, clothing and essential supplies to individuals and families facing hardship in the Port St. Joe area.

The Care Closet is a vital lifeline for many, with volunteers working year-round to make sure no one in our community goes hungry or without basic necessities.

Additionally, the Two Fish Food Market program provides bi-monthly opportunities for low-income families to supplement their groceries with fresh and non-perishable food.

New Wave contributes regularly to the Care Closet’s efforts to keep shelves stocked and help neighbors in need. For us, it’s about lending a helping hand to the community that supports our local business. If you’re interested in supporting their mission, the Care Closet also welcomes donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries and gently used clothing.

Protecting Our Wildlife with Florida Coastal Conservancy

Our community work is also focused on preserving the incredible natural environment that makes this stretch of the Gulf Coast so special. That’s why New Wave supports the Florida Coastal Conservancy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting our sea turtle populations and their beach habitats.

Through the Forgotten Coast Sea Turtle Center, the Conservancy works to rescue and rehabilitate injured sea turtles, monitor nesting sites and educate the public. These efforts help to ensure that our pristine beaches and amazing wildlife are protected for generations to come.

We’re inspired by the hands-on work done by the Conservancy to ensure rehabilitated animals and newly hatched turtles make it safely into the Gulf waters, often right along the same beaches that our guests enjoy. Every visitor who books a stay with New Wave plays a small but meaningful role in helping us to support these efforts to protect our coastal ecosystem.

St. Joseph Bay Humane Society

We’re an animal-loving team at New Wave, so it’s natural that we support the tireless efforts of our local St. Joseph Bay Humane Society. This dedicated nonprofit organization provides shelter, medical care and adoption services for hundreds of animals every year in Gulf County.

So far, New Wave has donated over $800 directly to the Humane Society, and we’re just getting started. We’ve also fostered three dogs and helped one sweet pup find a forever home! Additionally, every time a guest brings a furry friend along to one of our pet-friendly vacation rentals, 10% of all pet fees go to the Humane Society to support animal care.

If you’re planning to travel with your pet, check out one of our pet-friendly rentals. Whether you’re looking for a Mexico Beach retreat with room for Rover to run, a Cape San Blas backyard oasis steps from the beach, or a beachside townhome with tons of amenities, you’ll find the perfect place for the whole family (paws included!).

Plan Your Cape San Blas Visit

When you stay in a New Wave vacation rental, you’re not just booking a vacation, you’re also helping to make life better for people and animals in our community. Each reservation helps us to give back and support the local organizations that make this place special, creating a ripple effect of good across the Forgotten Coast!
